In case you didn’t know, JoJo is opening a brand new store in Solihull this weekend. If you’re planning on visiting us, make sure you put time aside to explore this fantastic West Midlands Town. We caught up with our new JoJo store manager to find out her favourite things to do in Solihull.

Where’s your favourite place to eat in Solihull?
Shelly’s Farm is a lovely place for families and the wood fired pizzas are a great choice!

Your favourite shop in Solihull?
I really like the independent stores in Birmingham, especially Handmade Boutique, in the Touchwood shopping centre. It offers a lovely selection of hand made and local artists work with gifts and trinkets. Of course there is also trusty Zara!

Your favourite place to go on a rainy day.
I enjoy going to the Cinema on horrid weather days; the Cineworld cinema is the best one in Solihull for a good selection of new releases.

Your favourite place to go on a sunny day.
Brueton Park is lovely and walking around the Brueton Lake – it’s a great place for everyone. You can take children for playing games, have picnics with friends or for walking dogs.
Can you recommend any play groups or events for children?
There is a great selection of play groups and places for children, but here are a selection I know of and would recommend.
Solihull Arts Theatre – They sometimes hold events for children. Jolly Mixture, Little Treasures, Shelly Farm under Threes, Tiny Tots, Walk in The Park, Solihull Methodist Pushchair Club.

Place to meet other mums?
The Baby Café in Olton is lovely and of course all the above groups.

Any great support networks for new mums?
Happy Days Parent and Baby Group, NCT, Net Mums, Twins UK, Gingerbread

What local children’s charities do amazing work for the community?
Acorns, The Childrens Air Ambulance, Banardos, Red Cross and of course we will be running our From a Mother to Another campaign in February that you can get involved in at the Solihull store.

What are you most looking forward to being manager of the new Solihull JoJo branch?
I look forward to being the main influence of introducing & bringing new customers from the local area into the store and JoJo community. As well as imposing this on to the rest of the team and continuing to deliver the best possible service to our customers.

What is your favourite JoJo product?
Although there are many to choose from I really love the Dinosaur Rocker, it’s a great JoJo product and so much fun for little ones.

JoJo Maman Bébé Solihull opens on Saturday 23rd January. Click here for full store details.
